The Alhambra Shopping Centre has been a hive of activity during the summer holidays with several visitors of jurassic proportions joining shoppers of all ages.

Hundreds of Dinosaur fans big and small visited the centre from 1st – 11th of August to visit the Alhambrasaurus Rex, a ‘real life Raptor and his tiny friend the triceratops.

Visitors got the opportunity to view the Reptile Zoo which included different types of snakes and lizards, to take part in a range of prehistoric workshops & face painting and had the chance to win a family ticket to see ‘Walking with Dinosaurs’ at Sheffield Arena, by Checking In on the shopping centres Facebook page.

The lucky winner of the Walking with Dinosaurs tickets was Eleanor Taylor (28) from Royston, who took her son Max (3) her partner Dale and mum Sandra on the 11th August.

Eleanor posted on the Alhambra Facebook Page after the show at the arena, she said: “Maximus had a fab time last night, no words can explain how much fun he had – thank you again.”

Now the centre is slowly getting back to the present day all its retailers are looking to make the trip back to school in September easier than ever for parents and guardians with a whole host of goodies!

The Alhambra will ensure youngsters look and feel the part as the new academic year approaches with a selection of school uniforms, PE kit, shoes, bags, coats and stationery from top high street stores including Next, TK Maxx, Shoe Zone, Wilko, The Works, Select and Primark.
