Fall back in love with yourself

Fall back in love with yourself
4 February 2019
With more and more people including everyone from infants to the elderly suffering from depression, we wanted to talk about the stigma associated with mental health and depression in particular.
With February being the month of love, we wanted to cover the
affects of depression and help people recognise some of the signs. It’s also
not just the person who is struggling from a mental health condition, that is
feeling deflated - it’s those close to that person – friends, family and loved
ones.
Life can be hard, it can wear you down and some days are harder
than others – this is the case for the entire population, no matter if they
suffer from depression, anxiety or not – so don’t be too hard on yourself.
Depression is a common mental health problem that can cause people to experience low mood, loss of interest or
pleasure, feelings of guilt or low self-worth, disturbed sleep or appetite, low
energy, and poor concentration – if you are feeling any of these then listen
up!
Everyone should feel loved and it starts with loving who you are!
Here are some tips on how you can do this with the help of the
Alhambra Shopping Centre:
Take some time out for you – by visiting one of our eateries you
can enjoy a nice cuppa and a piece of cake whilst loosing yourself in a good
book! We have Urban Deli,Café Moda and Massarellas alongside Hot Jacks if you fancy
something yummy on the go.
Jasmine’s beauty bar could help spruce up your personal
appearance, whether it be eyebrow and eyelash
enhancements including threading, waxing, tinting or extensions. Jasmine also
specialises in henna tattoos should you want something a little different.
Treat yourself to a pamper night at home –
purchase some yummy smelling bath goodies from Bodycare, a face mask from Savers, a new nail varnish or two from The Makeup Stall and a
different fragrance from The
Perfume Shop to leave you feeling and smelling wonderful!
Treating yourself to a new outfit can put a smile back on your
face, we have a great selection of fashion focussed retailers here in the
Alhambra for all the family!
Next, Select, Yours, Bonmarche, Primark, TK Maxx and Roman are just a few to
mention alongside Shoe
Zone and Lucky
to finish off the look with a great pair of shoes and handbag!
Finally, if you visit Socialites in the centre, they are now selling CBT (Cannabidiol)
one of over 100 naturally occurring cannabinoid found in the hemp plant. Vaping
CBD is currently being studied in relation to helping with anxiety and
depression.
Coming soon!
We will be launching
a campaign shortly inline with health specialists, emergency services,
community groups to create a safe place for people suffering from depression or
other mental illnesses to come and take 10 minutes out, sit and think or talk to
a professional about how you are feeling.
We will be posting more information in the coming weeks on our website and social media platforms.
